Ricardo D. Torres is an Occupational Therapist and Regional Rehab Director working for Regency Integrated Healthcare providing direction and oversight to the Rehab teams working in their 10 Skilled Nursing Facilities in the Rio Grande Valley. His work as an Occupational Therapist has provided him with experience in mental health services and adult and pediatric dysfunction. Ricardo brings practical knowledge of health care administration via his experience as the Director of Rehabilitation for South Texas Health Systems’ Edinburg Regional Rehab Center and various pediatric rehabilitation agencies in the RGV. He is supportive of the preventative education model and an advocate of a whole family approach for service delivery. One thing he would like to see happen in the Rio Grande Valley is the development of a coordinated inter-agency system for service delivery that would make it easier for people to obtain services and education for their medical, mental health, and rehabilitation needs.
