Community Access and Resources Education (CARE) Project

Community Access and Resources Education (CARE) Project

The CARE Project aims to serve young adults (18 to 24) in the RGV area, specifically Cameron County, who have a history of trauma and may have, or are at, high risk for substance use, HIV/AIDS and/or HCV. Through the use of a navigator approach and community health worker, individuals will receive educational sessions on substance misuse prevention and HIV risk factor/risk reduction along with appropriate linkages to care.
