PARENTING AWARENESS & DRUG RISK EDUCATION (PADRE)

PADRE provides community-based, gender-specific intervention services to parenting males and expecting fathers with substance use disorders or who are at risk of developing substance use disorders.

SERVICES PROVIDED

Intensive case management services; implement an evidence-based curriculum with participants focused on developing and enhancing parenting and life skills; provide alternative activities for participants and family members to promote healthy life styles, encourage communication, support, and other positive interactive skills; and motivational interviewing techniques to assist participants needing support.

Parenting males and expecting fathers referred by DFPS who are at risk of having, or who have, a substance use disorder.
