Believe in Change, formerly known as the Youth Recovery Community, helps adolescents and young adults who are in the process of recovery. BIC staff will work to support and increase the prevalence of long term recovery from substance use disorders of youth between the ages of 13-21 to include those with co-occurring mental health disorders and the families. Program design will ensure that recovery- oriented values and principles include Choice of Self Determination by providing participants the opportunity to select from a menu of supports and services that correspond with participant personal interests and recovery goals.
BIC staff shall provide a wide array of non-clinical services and supports that helps individual to initiate and sustain their recovery. All services will be provided in a culturally, linguistically, and developmentally appropriate manner for participants, family members, and supportive allies.
Primary population is adolescents and young adults ages 13-21 in the general community. Secondary population is the family support system within the community.
